QR: GPS Unit Troubleshooting
Please follow the troubleshooting below we can process a replacement request:
Power cycle the GPS unit by disconnecting the GPS unit from any cables or the data port then reconnect it.
Check the pins of the GPS unit for any corrosion or residue.
Check the pins also for any bent or broken pins.
- If you are using special adapters or extension cables to mount the gps unit away from the data port, disconnect and reconnect those as well to ensure a tight connection is made.
- If the GPS unit appears to not be getting power (no beeping or lights flashing when power cycled), check your vehicle fuses and replace any that are blown. Also use a lead tester to verify the data port is outputting power.
- Verify what lights are showing on the GPS unit when the vehicle has been running for at least 5 minutes outdoors. You should see Red, Green and Blue lights.
- Check the shell of the GPS unit for any cracks/dents or damage that may have happened.
We may ask you to validate any of the above with photos to help us understand or verify certain issues. Once all has been checked and we cannot resolve the issue from our end either, we will process the request for a replacement.
